Carolina University competes in weekend series against Fort Lauderdale and Toccoa Falls

Carolina University took part in a round-robin tournament over the weekend, competing against the University of Fort Lauderdale and Toccoa Falls College. The event was hosted by Toccoa Falls College.

The series began on April 11, 2025, with Carolina University facing the University of Fort Lauderdale. Fort Lauderdale took a decisive 17-3 victory. Key performances from Carolina University included Danny Gonzales with 2 hits and 1 RBI, and Alexis Fontanez with 1 hit and 1 RBI. Fort Lauderdale's Pinciotti contributed significantly with 5 RBIs, alongside A. Coward's 3 RBIs. The game concluded with D. Siciliano earning the win as the pitcher.

On the same day, Carolina University also played Toccoa Falls College, with Toccoa Falls College winning 6-2. For Carolina, Paxton Tucker and Peyton Banks each had 1 RBI. In contrast, Toccoa Falls' C. Compton achieved 3 hits, and R. McCarron contributed 2 RBIs, with L. Pruitt securing the win as pitcher.

The tournament continued on April 12, 2025, as Carolina University faced Fort Lauderdale again. Fort Lauderdale emerged victorious once more, with a 12-3 scoreline. Alex Noll, notably, hit a triple and Robbie Smith a double for Carolina, while G. Mangual and R. Rifenberg each added a homerun for Fort Lauderdale. A. Coward was noted as the winning pitcher.

In the final game on April 12, 2025, Carolina University went head-to-head with Toccoa Falls College once again. Toccoa Falls won 5-1. For Carolina, Alex Noll's and Alexis Fontanez's performances included hitting doubles. Toccoa Falls’ R. McCarron recorded 2 hits, and D. Ellsworth was named the winning pitcher.

Looking ahead, Carolina University's Bruins will return home to face Guilford College on Tuesday, April 15th.
