Carolina University Baseball hosted Fisher College for a three-game series over the weekend. The Bruins secured a win in the first game but were defeated in the two games on Saturday.

The opening game saw the Bruins come from behind to defeat the Falcons 5-4. After trailing 3-0 in the fifth inning, Alexiel Delgado's double and Robbie Smith's home run sparked a rally. Derek Martinez walked to first base, with Abdiel Santa pinch-running and stealing bases to tie the game at 3-3. The Bruins scored two more runs in the seventh and eighth innings, holding off a ninth-inning challenge by Fisher College to secure victory. Caden Ross was credited with the win as pitcher of record.

In Game 2, Fisher College took an early lead of 3-0 before adding another run in the third inning. Garrett Axsom hit a home run for Carolina University, bringing in two RBIs and closing the gap to 2-3. However, Fisher responded with three more runs in the fourth inning. Despite another home run from Axsom and a rally that tied the game at 8-8 in the fifth inning, Fisher pulled ahead again with four runs in the sixth inning, leading to an 8-12 loss for Carolina.

The final game began with both teams scoring two runs each, including a home run by Paxton Tucker for Carolina University that brought in two RBIs. Unfortunately for Carolina, they failed to score further after this initial effort and lost 2-12.

Carolina University's next games are scheduled against Voorhees University on Tuesday, February 11th, with a doubleheader starting at noon and continuing at 2:00 PM.
