Overnight lane closures planned in Winston-Salem and Kernersville for wastewater system cleaning

A contractor will conduct overnight cleaning of the wastewater system in Winston-Salem and Kernersville, starting Sunday, November 17, at 7 p.m. and concluding by 5 a.m. the following morning. This work is scheduled to finish by Thursday, November 21, at 5 a.m.

During this period, a single lane will be temporarily closed on several streets in Winston-Salem. The affected areas include Germanton Road from US 52 to Cherry Street, Motor Road at Baux Mountain Road, Reynolda Road at Coliseum Drive, Northwest Boulevard from Rundell Street to University Parkway, Third Street at Chestnut Street, Martin Luther King Jr Dr at Hardesty Lane, Town Run Lane at Second Street, Clemmonsville Road from Thomasville Road to Waughtown Street, and High Point Road at Union Cross Road.

In Kernersville, the closures will affect Old Salem Road at Teague Lane, Mountain Street from Main Street to Spring Street, Kerner Street at Oakhurst Street, and Main Street at Piney Grove Road.
