Carolina University's women's soccer concludes challenging season with notable achievements

The Carolina University Women's Soccer team concluded their 2024 season with a record of 5-7-5, including a home record of 1-4-1. Despite facing challenges, the Lady Bruins demonstrated resilience and growth under Head Coach Boo Tesh, Assistant Coach Kyle Neal, and Josh Denton.

Throughout the season, six players from the team were recognized as All-Region players. This recognition highlighted their individual talent and contributions on the field.

Sophomore Ashley Sanchez was pivotal in offense, leading the team with five goals. Her ability to create opportunities was crucial for the team's attacking efforts. Natalie Puskar stood out as the top playmaker, leading in assists and helping generate scoring chances.

Defensively, senior Annabelle Norwood provided strong leadership at the back. Her defensive skills helped maintain a solid foundation for the team against tough opponents.

The Lady Bruins qualified for the CAC Tournament and faced the University of Jamestown in the first round. Three players received CAC All-Conference honors: Anabelle Norwood and Natalie Puskar earned Honorable Mentions, while Kloe Totel received the Champion of Character Award.

The season ended with a 1-4 loss to Warner University at the regional tournament. Despite this defeat, the Lady Bruins showed determination throughout.

"Congratulations to the entire Women's Soccer team, coaches, and staff for their efforts throughout the 2024 season." The Lady Bruins' perseverance was evident through multiple individual honors that underscore their growth as a team.
