Road closures planned for sewer rehabilitation in Winston-Salem

Work on the System-Wide Sewer Rehabilitation project in Winston-Salem is set to continue with road closures affecting Highland Avenue and Sixth Street. The closures will occur on weekdays from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., starting Monday, November 18.

Highland Avenue will be closed between Fifth and Seventh streets, while Sixth Street will be closed between Poplar and Spruce streets. The work is anticipated to conclude by Friday, November 22, depending on weather conditions.

The contractor handling the project will manage all traffic control measures. Motorists are advised to plan for alternate routes during this period.
