Winston-Salem announces overnight lane closures for wastewater system cleaning

A contractor will begin cleaning the wastewater system in Winston-Salem overnight starting Sunday, August 25, at 8 p.m. The work is scheduled to continue until Thursday, August 29, concluding by 5 a.m. each day. During this period, a single lane will be closed for short durations on several streets.

The affected areas include Jonestown Road from Southwin Drive to Country Club Road and from Beaverton Trail to Somerset Drive. On Country Club Road, closures will occur between Jonestown Road and Tipperary Lane and from Westmont Drive to Bennett Drive. Peace Haven will experience closures from Sterling Point Court to Country Club Road. Styers Ferry Road will have closures between Amaryllis Way and both Country Club Road and Meadowlark Road.

Additional lane closures are planned for Stratford Road at Old Sides Mill Road and Olive Street; Ebert Road from Jefferson Street to Sherwood Drive; Silas Creek Parkway from Eldorada Road to Lockland Avenue; Third Street at Chestnut Street and Research Parkway; Reynolda Road at Coliseum Drive; Shattalon Drive/Oak Summit Road from Murray Road to Dogwood Drive.
