A contractor will begin inspecting and cleaning sewer lines and manholes in the Hathaway Park area of northwestern Winston-Salem on Monday, September 23. The work is scheduled from Monday to Friday, between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m., with completion expected by late November.

The project involves using a closed-circuit TV camera unit along with a combination wash and vacuum truck. The area covered by this project is generally bounded by Country Club Road to the north, Hanestown Avenue and Hathaway Park (Lawnsdale Drive) to the east, Stratford Road to the south, and Silas Creek Parkway and Chelsea Village Lane to the west.

The contractor will manage all traffic control measures. Motorists are advised to consider alternate routes as lane closures may be necessary at times. Traffic will be directed by a flagger when required.
