Carolina University baseball loses three-game series against Bluefield State

Carolina University Baseball faced a challenging series against Bluefield State University over the weekend, losing all three games. The Bruins were unable to overcome the Big Blue, with final scores of 7-11, 1-4, and 7-8.

In the first game, Carolina University's team made a strong effort in the seventh inning by scoring four runs but fell short as Bluefield State maintained their lead. Tanner Bray and Avery Adams each hit doubles, while Alejandro Rodriguez and Elias Nurideen contributed two RBIs apiece.

The second game concluded with a score of 1-4 after seven innings. The Bruins' sole run came in the second inning when Paxton Tucker scored with help from Jase Brooks' single. Adam Conrad pitched for Carolina University, achieving four strikeouts over seven innings.

The third and final game was closely contested, ending in a narrow 7-8 loss for the Bruins. They managed to score five runs in the third inning alone. Rodriguez tripled to center field, followed by Bryan Deegan's double. Paxton Tucker then hit another triple to right field, and Avery Adams capped off the inning with a single. Deegan and Adams each had two RBIs in this game.

Looking ahead, Carolina University will travel to face Georgia Gwinnett College on Wednesday.
