City offices will be closed Thursday, July 4, for Independence Day.

Tuesday and Wednesday garbage will be collected on the regular schedule, but Thursday's collection will occur on Friday, and Friday's collection will take place on Monday, July 8. Recycling will follow the normal schedule from Monday through Wednesday, with Thursday's collection postponed to Friday and Friday's collection moved to Saturday, July 6. Yard waste collection will also follow the normal schedule from Monday through Wednesday, with Thursday's collection occurring on Friday.

The Hanes Mill Road Solid Waste Facility, Old Salisbury Road Landfill, Forum 52 and Overdale Road yard waste facilities, and the 3RC EnviroStation will all be closed.

CityLink 311, the city’s resident customer service center, will not be staffed; however, non-911 emergency calls will be forwarded to on-call team members in the appropriate department.
