The Curious Cardinal has taken his first flight!
This week, he visited our administration offices and genealogy department.
These are located in the annex building, which is adjacent to the Lexington branch library. The annex houses the library system director and support staff, along with tech services. Tech services are where new books are processed and also where books from DCPL and other libraries collections are shared, sorted, and mailed in transit across the state through the NC Cardinal Consortium.
During his tour of the facility, he met with the library director, learned about digital resources from staff, saw how books are organized, processed, and transited in tech services, and did some preliminary research in the genealogy department.
