Fall Prevention Week

This is Fall Prevention Week and the King Senior Center has programming each day to help you learn how to prevent and prepare.  

Sign up TODAY for a 15-minute Falls Screening with the Physical Therapy Deparment from Winston-Salem State University on Wednesday. Appointments can be scheduled from 9am-10:45am. Call King Senior Center to schedule yours today 336-983-0751.

Our friends from LifeBrite Community Hospital's Occupational Therapy Department will be joining us on Thursday at 10am for a Falls Prevention Program too.

Here are our watch parties this week.  All of the following 1-hour programs will be live-streamed at the center for you to come and watch at 10am.

Today: PTRC/AAA will kick-off Falls Prevention Week

TUESDAY: Mark Hensley with AARP will be discussing the "6 Pillars of Brain Health"

WEDNESDAY: Angie Swann-Jones with AARP will be sharing easy ways you can declutter your home to reduce your risks of falls.

THURSDAY: Laura Smith with Forsyth County EMS will be answering "Is your home accessible to first responders?"

FRIDAY:  Mary Lou White with PTRC/AAA will be sharing more informaiton about the Matter of Balance Class.
