Town of Rural issued the following announcement on January 28.
Recycling was not able to be serviced due to snow and ice on January 18. The next recycle service date will be FEBRUARY 1. We have put this information on social media and sent a community email alert. We understand you may have excess recycle. Waste Management will collect broken down excess cardboard if it is placed next to your recycle cart on February 1, but they will not collect other recycling laying on the ground or if it is bagged. While we do encourage you to recycle as much as possible, you will have to save additional excess recycle for the next date or add it to your garbage. We apologize for this inconvenience, but in effort to not cause confusion, we are remaining on the NORMAL recycle schedule. You can download a copy at www.ruralhall.com.
