Hannah Latiolais has been appointed as the new Head Women's Basketball Coach at Carolina University. With over 14 years of coaching experience, she is known for both developing talent and achieving success.

Latiolais previously worked at Champion College from 2023 to 2025, where she led the team to a 42-10 overall record. During her time there, she coached one National Player of the Year, four First Team All-Americans, and four Second Team All-Americans. Under her leadership, the team maintained a No. 1 power ranking for 90% of her tenure, won a regional championship in 2024, and made two national championship appearances.

Before Champion College, Latiolais was at Kirtland College from 2022 to 2023. She also served as the Varsity Men's Head Coach at Houston Hyde from 2015 to 2022, where she achieved over 500 wins and multiple national titles. Her 2022 team had an 82-12 season record, ranking 12th nationally.

Latiolais' approach to coaching is highlighted by her commitment to the overall development of her athletes. Her philosophy, expressed in "Beat The Odds" and "Celebrating Elevation," focuses on positivity, energy, and fostering a family environment. She emphasizes the holistic development of her athletes, aiming to nurture them into confident women.

With an AS in Science from Dallas College and a BA in Psychology from the University of Houston, Latiolais began her coaching journey at 15. She founded Houston Hyde, an AAU team for underprivileged youth in the Galveston/Houston area, and also served as the Men's Head Soccer coach at Champion College.

In her new role, Latiolais aims to develop a strong team dynamic that celebrates achievement. Her methodology focuses on a robust defensive strategy and a high-pressure offense. While success is expected, the emphasis remains on preparation and establishing excellence on and off the court.

Latiolais and her dog, Hazel, plan to relocate to Winston Salem this summer.
