Winston-Salem sewer rehabilitation project causes temporary street closures

Work on the System-Wide Sewer Rehabilitation project in Winston-Salem is set to continue with street closures scheduled for weekdays from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., starting Monday, February 24. The contractor will close several streets during this period.

The affected streets include Konnoak Drive between Sundown and Weisner Streets, Gloria Street between Park Boulevard and Doune Street, Salem Avenue between Broad and Poplar Streets, Kaywood Street between Sharon and Dupont Roads, and Westfield Avenue between Leisure Lane and Magnolia Street.

The work is expected to be completed by Friday, February 28, weather permitting. The contractor is responsible for all traffic control measures. Motorists are advised to plan alternate routes during the closure period.
