Nominations are now open for the Winston-Salem Arts, Culture and Entertainment Memorial Walk of Fame. The initiative seeks to honor deceased residents of Winston-Salem who have made significant contributions in fields such as music, dance, theater, writing, visual arts, motion pictures, television, or radio.

A "significant contribution" is defined as one that is iconic in terms of renown and impact on artistic disciplines or popular culture. To qualify for nomination, individuals must have demonstrated sustained excellence in their field for at least five years and have been a resident of Winston-Salem for a minimum of five years. Additionally, nominees should have made distinguished contributions to the community through civic-oriented participation.

The nominations will be assessed by the Walk of Fame Nominating Committee. This panel consists of citizens from various artistic disciplines and entertainment industry fields. They will recommend up to five nominees to the mayor and City Council.

Nomination forms and further information can be found at CityofWS.org/WalkofFame. The deadline for submitting nominations is Friday, February 28th.
