Le'Asia Matthews earns CAC offensive player award for stellar basketball performance

Carolina University's junior basketball player, Le'Asia Matthews, has been recognized as the Continental Athletic Conference Women's Basketball Offensive Player of the Week. This accolade covers the final week of the 2024 segment of the 2024-25 season.

Matthews' recent performances have solidified her reputation as a top player in the conference. She delivered two consecutive games scoring over 20 points, with an average of 22.5 points per game during that period. Her contributions were vital for Carolina University, showcasing her role as a dynamic offensive force.

In addition to her scoring achievements, Matthews demonstrated high efficiency on the court. She maintained a shooting accuracy of 45% overall and 42% from beyond the three-point line. Her ability to score effectively highlights her comprehensive skills and significance to her team's success.
