Carolina University Men's Soccer team achieved a milestone season in 2022, marking the most successful year in the program's history. The team concluded the season with a record of 13-3-1 and was ranked #8 in the NCCAA Division I. They participated in the National Tournament for the first time and received several player awards from the NCCAA.

The Bruins began their campaign with an impressive seven consecutive victories, setting a new program record. Despite facing challenges mid-season, they ended strongly with a 5-0-1 run, closing out the regular season at 12-2-1. This achievement marked Coach Golding's most successful season to date and earned Carolina University a spot as the South Regional representative at the National Tournament.

In their National Tournament debut, Carolina University secured a narrow victory against Cedarville University, winning 1-0 in their opening pool play match. However, they were defeated by Campbellsville University with a score of 0-2 in their subsequent match, preventing them from advancing to the semi-finals.

Recognition for individual performances came as several players received accolades this season. Matthew McCamley was selected for the NCCAA All-Tournament Team held in Kissimmee, Florida. Mario Salinas was named to both the NCCAA DI All-American Second Team and All-Region Team. Additionally, William Cothill, Nathan Rue, Francisco Tapia, and Samuel Griffiths were all placed on the South All-Region team.

Coach Golding led one of Carolina University's most decorated teams this year, reflecting significant achievements in its athletic history.
