City announces events for Old School Block Party and Teentastic festival

In celebration of the N.C. Black Repertory Company’s International Black Theatre Festival, the city is inviting residents to attend the Old School Block Party from August 1 to 3. The event will take place from 7 to 11 p.m. at Corpening Plaza, located at 231 W. First St., Winston-Salem, N.C. Free trolley service will run from The Benton to Corpening Plaza each night from 7:30 to 11:30 p.m., and food trucks will line up on Liberty Street beginning at 7 p.m.

The schedule for free, live entertainment includes:

- Thursday, Aug. 1: Envision

- Friday, Aug. 2: Phase Band

- Saturday, Aug. 3: Club Nouveau

Additionally, Teentastic, a free two-day festival featuring a DJ, entertainment, games, and food trucks will be held at the Winston-Salem Fairgrounds on Friday, August 2 from 7 to 10 p.m., and Saturday, August 3 from 7 p.m. to midnight.
