The Governor's Advisory Council for Hispanic & Latino Affairs will be holding its quarterly in-person meeting in Winston-Salem for the first time. This historic event is made possible by the support of our Council Members, the city, and the Winston-Salem Human Relations/Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion Department. We extend a warm invitation to the community to join us for this important gathering.
The meeting will take place on February 8 from 11:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Winston Salem Benton Convention Center, located at 301 W 5th St, Winston-Salem, NC 27101. Light refreshments will be provided to all attendees.
We are proud to announce that the meeting will be conducted in both English and Spanish, with simultaneous interpretation available. This ensures that all participants can fully engage and contribute to the discussions.
In order to effectively accommodate all attendees, we kindly request that you RSVP by February 2, 2024. Early check-in will begin at 11:30 a.m. This will secure your participation and allow us to commence the meeting promptly at noon.
For those driving to the event, free parking is available at the Sixth-Cherry Trade Parking Deck, located at 527 N. Cherry St., Winston-Salem, NC 27101. There is a skywalk on the 3rd level of the parking deck, which connects the deck and the Convention Center.
Please note that the agenda for the meeting will be sent out soon. We encourage everyone to RSVP as soon as possible, as space is limited.
We are excited to bring together the Hispanic and Latino community, along with our Council Members, to discuss important matters and work towards a more inclusive and equitable future. Your presence at this meeting would be greatly appreciated.
As Governor Cooper's Advisory Council for Hispanic & Latino Affairs, we strive to represent and advocate for the interests of our community. We look forward to seeing you at the Winston Salem Benton Convention Center on February 8.
