Work on the Sprague Neighborhood Sewer Rehabilitation project in Winston-Salem is progressing as scheduled. To facilitate the ongoing construction, a road closure will be implemented on Daisy Street between Glascoe and Ivanhoe streets. The closure will be in effect on weekdays from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., starting Monday, Dec. 18, and is expected to last until Friday, Dec. 22, weather permitting.

According to city officials, the closure is necessary to ensure the safety of both the construction workers and the general public. The contractor for the project will be responsible for all traffic control measures. Motorists are advised to plan for alternate routes during the closure period.

In a statement, the city emphasized the importance of these infrastructure improvements. "The Sprague Neighborhood Sewer Rehabilitation project is a vital initiative aimed at enhancing the sewer system in this area," said a spokesperson for the city. "By rehabilitating the sewer lines, we are ensuring the long-term functionality and reliability of the system."

Residents and businesses in the affected area are urged to stay informed about the project's progress. Detailed information regarding capital improvement projects can be found on the city's website at cityofws.org/cip.
