Renu Energy Solutions will begin installation of a new 70-kilowatt system of solar panels on the roof of the Bryce A. Stuart Municipal Building on Thursday, Nov. 16. The project is expected to be completed in January 2024.
The installation will affect parking and sidewalk access. The sidewalk adjacent to the Stuart building and one lane of Church Street, as well as the diagonal parking spaces there, will be closed beginning at 8 a.m. on Thursday, Nov. 16 through Friday, Nov. 17 at 5 p.m., and Monday, Nov. 20 at 8 a.m. to Wednesday, Nov. 22 at 5 p.m. During that time, visitors are asked to use the sidewalk on the east side of Church Street to walk from the parking deck.
After Thanksgiving, Church Street and the sidewalks will fully open and diagonal parking spaces not used by the contractor will be available.
