Did you know that March is Developmental Disabilities Awareness Month? For 2023, The National Association of Councils on Developmental Disabilities has themed the month, "Beyond the Conversation." This has been an observed event since 1987 by President Reagan. According to the National Disability Institute, it is intended to "increase public awareness of the needs and the potential of Americans with developmental disabilities” and to provide the “encouragement and opportunities they need to lead productive lives and to achieve their full potential.""
