Forsyth County Community & Economic Development will be accepting applications for its upcoming Micro-Enterprise Individual Development Account (IDA) Program beginning Thursday December 1st. The IDA program is a match savings program for low to moderate income persons. Businesses will receive financial literacy education provided by Experiment in Self Reliance (ESR) and small business training provided by S.G. Atkins CDC. Upon completion of the program, participating businesses will be eligible to receive matching grants up to $16,000 toward an approved business asset. To date, the Micro-Enterprise IDA program has invested over $61,000 in matching capital to participating businesses.
