N.C. Cooperative Extension, Forsyth County Center held its Farm City Banquet last night. Commissioner Vice-Chair Don Martin greeted attendees and NC 4-H President Laurelyn Ridge was emcee. Richard Reich with the NC Department of Agricultural gave remarks about the county and state's rich agricultural heritage. Agriculture is a $92.9 billion in NC, despite a shrinking amount of farmland. Reich said it's important to remember where our food comes from and support local farmers.
