Census Bureau: 89.5 percent of people in Salem were old enough to vote in 2020

Of the 1,479 citizens living in Salem in 2020, 1,324 were old enough to vote as of March 26, according to U.S. Census Bureau data.

The bureau reported 659 of those people were female and 665 were male.

Data for this story was compiled from the bureau’s American Community Survey. Information from the survey helps to determine how federal and state funds are distributed.
