KING – An N.C. Department of Transportation contractor plans to reduce the number of lanes on U.S. 52 in Stokes County over the weekend.
Starting Friday at 9 a.m., one lane of U.S. 52 will be closed in both the northbound and southbound directions near Meadowbrook Drive, between mile markers 123 and 125.
The closures are necessary to allow crews to perform milling and paving operations along this section of the highway. Work is expected to be complete by Sunday.
Drivers are reminded to slow down and remain alert while passing through the work zone.
