City of King issued the following announcement on August 27.

The King Senior Center would like to express thanks to King Police Department's Corporal Sawyers and Detective Creed for their presentation this afternoon detailing how senior adults can improve safety at home, in the community and while on the phone and internet. The Officers provided the Center with a great notebook that highlights much of the information shared today. We also thank Derrick Vickers from Insight Human Services for presenting information about safe storage and disposal of medications and providing lock boxes and other materials. Our community continues to work together to keep our seniors safe. If you would like more information, please stop by the King Senior Center  M-F from 8:30am-5pm. #GetCentered
