FORSYTH COUNTY: Notice of Meeting of the 2020 Board of Equalization and Review

Forsyth County issued the following announcement on April 23.

NOTICE OF MEETING AND ADJOURNMENT OF THE 2020 FORSYTH COUNTY BOARD OF EQUALIZATION AND REVIEW TO HEAR APPEALS AND OTHER MATTERS RELATING TO THE 2020 PROPERTY LISTINGS AND APPRAISALS

NOTICE is hereby given that the 2020 Forsyth County Board of Equalization and Review will conduct its first meeting remotely on Thursday, April 30, 2020 at 3:00 p.m., as allowed by North Carolina General Statute 143-318.13. The Board will meet for the purposes of performing its statutory duties and to receive requests and hear appeals of taxpayers relating to the 2020 property listings and appraisals. Due to COVID-19, there will be no meeting place where members of the public can be physically present. Pursuant to the provisions of N.C.G.S. 105-322, the 2020 Forsyth County Board of Equalization and Review will meet on Thursday, Thursday, May 21st at 3:00 p.m., and again on its expected date of adjournment of Friday, June 30th, 2020 at 3:00 p.m. in the Board of Equalization and Review meeting room on the first floor of the Forsyth County Government Center, 201 N. Chestnut St., Winston–Salem, N.C. In the event of earlier or later adjournment, notice to that effect will be published in the same newspaper as provided by law.

This notice shall be published three times in a newspaper having general circulation in Forsyth County, N.C. A copy of this notice shall be posted on the door of the Board of Equalization and Review meeting room on the first floor of the Forsyth County Government Center. A copy of the notice shall be sent to all who receive notification of any changes in the regular meeting schedule.
