The City of Winston-Salem has announced updates to the fee schedule for various services provided by the Winston-Salem Fire Department (WSFD), effective July 1, 2024. This update comes following City Council Resolution 24-0368.
The only price of premium gas in cities throughout Forsyth County was found at a single gas station in the week ending June 29, according to customer reports submitted to GasBuddy.com.
A contractor will close Fourth Street to all vehicle traffic between Spring and Poplar streets in downtown Winston-Salem on weekdays from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. starting Monday, July 8, for high-priority water system improvements. The work will impact only a portion of the block and is expected to be completed by Thursday, July 11, weather permitting.

Work continues on the System-Wide Sewer Rehabilitation project in Winston-Salem. Queen Street will be closed to through traffic between Lockland Avenue and Gales Avenue weekdays from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. starting Monday, July 1.
