Carolina University softball team faced Salem College in a doubleheader on Tuesday evening, securing victories in both games. The Bruins, with a current record of 5-7, competed against the Spirits, who now stand at 3-11 for the season.
In the first game, Carolina University triumphed with a score of 5-1. Danielle Brooks pitched all seven innings for the Bruins, achieving three strikeouts. Kalea Bolch led with five putouts (POs), while Courtney Cox and ZyMaijah Thomas each contributed four. Lexi Hall hit a triple during this game, and the team executed three double plays.
The second game saw the Bruins winning decisively with a score of 9-0. Madison Hamilton pitched five innings without errors and recorded two strikeouts. Grace Johnson hit two triples in this match, while ZyMajiah Thomas added another triple along with scoring three runs. Kalea Bloch once again led in POs with five and also achieved one double.
