Irving Street will be closed to through traffic between Hawthorne Road and Academy Street in Winston-Salem starting at 9 a.m. on Tuesday, May 21, for water system improvements. Work is expected to be completed by 4 p.m. Detours will be in place and motorists are encouraged to plan for alternate routes.
