Neighborhood services officials will hold a public meeting Thursday, Jan. 18, at 6 p.m. in the fifth-floor meeting room of the Bryce A. Stuart Municipal Building, 100 E. First St., Winston-Salem, N.C. 27101. The purpose of the meeting is to solicit public input for a consolidated housing and community development plan for 2024-25.

City staff and representatives of Forsyth County and the Housing Authority of Winston-Salem will summarize the work on the plan, respond to questions, and solicit public opinion for goals and priorities in such areas as affordable housing, homelessness, fair housing and neighborhood and economic development. There will be time for questions from the public after the presentation.

When completed, the plan will outline community needs and the proposed use of a variety of federal grant funds from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development that promote housing and community development.
