City offices will be closed Monday, Dec. 25 through Wednesday, Dec. 27, for the Christmas holiday and Monday, Jan. 1, for New Year’s Day. The following city operations will be affected:
Week of Christmas
Garbage collections for Christmas will follow the normal schedule.
Recycling collections will be delayed one day with Monday, Dec. 25 collected on Tuesday, Dec. 26; Tuesday, Dec. 26 collected on Wednesday, Dec. 27; Wednesday, Dec. 27 collected on Thursday, Dec. 28; Thursday, Dec. 28 collected on Friday, Dec. 29 and Friday, Dec. 29 collected on Saturday, Dec. 30.
Yard waste collections for Monday, Dec. 25 and Tuesday, Dec. 26 will be collected on Wednesday, Dec. 27; Wednesday, Dec. 27 will be collected on Thursday, Dec. 28; Thursday, Dec. 28 will be collected on Friday, Dec. 29.
CityLink 311, the city’s citizen service call center, will be closed on Monday, Dec. 25 through Wednesday, Dec. 27. During hours when CityLink is closed, non-911 emergency calls will be forwarded to on-call staff with the appropriate department. Requests for routine information or services may be submitted by email to CityOfWS.org and the CityLink 311 mobile app for processing on Thursday, Dec. 28 or text 855-481-LINK (5465) for an immediate response.
Hanes Mill Road Solid Waste Facility will be open from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 22 and will be closed Dec. 23-25. The landfill will be open 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 26.
The Overdale Road and Forum 52 yard waste facilities and the Old Salisbury Road Landfill will be closed Dec. 22-26.
The 3RC EnviroStation will be open on Friday, Dec. 22 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., but closed Dec. 23-26.

CityLink 311 will be closed Monday, Jan. 1.
Hanes Mill Road Solid Waste Facility, the Overdale Road and Forum 52 yard waste facilities and the Old Salisbury Road Landfill will all be closed on Monday, Jan 1.
The 3RC EnviroStation will be closed on Monday, Jan. 1.
