City offices was closed Friday, Nov. 10, for the Veterans Day holiday. The following city operations will be affected:
Garbage collection on Friday, Nov. 10 been postponed until Monday, Nov. 13. Garbage collections on Tuesday, Nov. 7 through Thursday, Nov. 9, not be affected.
Recycling and yard-waste collections for the week will not be affected.
There been no leaf collection on Friday, Nov. 10.
CityLink 311, the city’s resident service call center, will not be staffed but non-911 emergency calls will be forwarded to on-call staff with the appropriate department. Requests for routine information or services may be submitted by email to CityOfWS.org and the CityLink 311 mobile app for processing the next day or text 855-481-LINK (5465) for an immediate response.
The 3RC EnviroStation remain open from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 10.
Hanes Mill Road Solid Waste Facility closed at 3 p.m. on Nov. 10. The Old Salisbury Road Landfill, and the Overdale Road and Forum 52 yard waste facilities will also be closed on Nov. 10. On Saturday, Nov. 11, all facilities will return to regular hours of operation.
