City offices will be closed Monday, May 29, to observe Memorial Day. CityLink 311, the city’s citizen service call center, will not be staffed but non-911 emergency calls will be forwarded to on-call staff with the appropriate department. Requests for routine information or services may be submitted by email (citylink@cityofws.org), the city website (CityofWS.org) and the CityLink 311 mobile application for processing the next day. Garbage collection will follow the normal schedule the week of May 28. All yard-waste and recycling collections will be postponed one day. Friday’s recycling collection will be on Saturday, May 27.
Hanes Mill Road Solid Waste Facility will close at 3 p.m. Monday. Old Salisbury Road Landfill, Forum 52 and Overdale Road yard waste facilities and 3RC EnviroStation all will be closed, and 3RC EnviroStation will also be closed on Saturday, May 27.
