Winston-Salem/Forsyth County Schools recently issued the following announcement on March 2.
March 2, 2022 - A big congratulations to the Men's Varsity Basketball Team at Winston-Salem Prep!
The Phoenix advanced to the West Region Final of the 1-A North Carolina Athletic Association's State Playoffs. They defeated Bessemer City 58 to 54 last night on their home court to advance to the regional final.
The West Region final will be played at 6 p.m. Saturday at AC Reynolds High School in Asheville, NC. 2nd seeded Winston-Salem Prep, 25 and 2 on the season, will face top-seeded Hayesville High School, who have a perfect 26 and 0 record this year, for the chance to play for a State Championship.
Good luck to Winston-Salem Prep and go Phoenix! Everyone in Winston-Salem/Forsyth County Schools will be rooting for you!
