Former Indiana State University star Jake LaRavia is set to join the Wake Forest program after transferring to the Athletic Coast Conference school with three years of eligibility remaining.

LaRavia, who averaged 12.5 points and 6.1 rebounds, earning second team All-Midwest Valley Conference honors, was also named to the MVC Conference Scholar-Athlete Second Team after posting a 3.30 GPA.

"Jake is a multi-dimensional player who possesses outstanding size and skill,” Wake Forest coach Steve Forbes told GoDeacs.com. “I love how Jake will go get a defensive rebound and lead the break off the dribble. He scores the ball inside and out and his quick feet give him the ability to defend multiple positions on the floor.”

Forbes said LaRavia’s pedigree is a big part of who he is as a player.

“Jake played for an outstanding coach and my longtime friend Greg Lansing at Indiana State, who prepared him for this moment,” he added. “We are extremely excited that Jake has decided to be a Demon Deacon."

At Indiana State, LaRavia started 50 of 55 games over his career and registered a 50.0 field goal percentage while shooting 72% from the free throw line.
