Carolina University's men's volleyball team played their home opener against Regent University, resulting in a three-set loss. The scores were 12-25, 21-25, and 18-25. This match was significant as it marked Jake Boldog's debut as a head coach at the collegiate level.

The Bruins showed promise in the second set, with junior Friedrich Hall leading offensively by making strategic plays to evade the Royals' defense and achieving seven kills. Despite not winning this time, the team remains optimistic about improving in future matches.

The team's next challenge will be on Saturday, February 1st, when they face Roanoke College and Warren Wilson in a tri-tournament hosted by the Owls.
