Carolina women's basketball defeats Regent University Royals with a dominant performance

The Carolina University Women's Basketball team secured a decisive 100-56 victory over Regent University Royals on Saturday night in Virginia Beach, VA. This was the first meeting of the season between these two NCCAA South Region rivals. The Bruins extended their winning streak with this win.

Regent started strong with an early three-pointer, but Carolina quickly responded and took control of the game. By the end of the first quarter, the Bruins led 21-14, although Regent remained competitive.

In the second quarter, Carolina's defense intensified, disrupting Regent's offense and converting turnovers into scoring opportunities. Despite Regent's efforts to stay in contention through free throws, Carolina maintained a lead of 50-37 at halftime.

Bianca Gonzalez led the Bruins with an impressive 41 points and 4 rebounds. Felesia Ondongo contributed significantly as well, nearly achieving a double-double with 13 points and 9 rebounds.

Carolina increased their lead in the third quarter through strong defense and effective shooting. By the start of the fourth quarter, they held a commanding 75-44 advantage. The Bruins continued their dominance in the final quarter to secure their victory.

The team will next face Morris College on Wednesday, January 22nd at 5:00 PM in an away game where they aim to continue their momentum.
