The Bruins faced challenges after competing against the #1 and #4 seeds earlier in the tournament. Bethel, seeded #5, entered this game with a 1-1 record. Despite the defeat, Carolina University displayed resilience throughout the competition.

Sion Murrain led offensively with 10 kills, while Rebecca Walker anchored the defense with 10 digs. However, Carolina struggled to maintain momentum as Bethel's defense prevailed in longer rallies. The team achieved a hitting percentage of .032.
