Carolina University Women's Volleyball team has secured the NCCAA South Region Title after competing against Regent University and Clinton College over the weekend. This victory grants them a spot in the Nationals.
In their encounter with Regent, the Bruins faced a challenging four-set match with scores of 25-23, 23-25, 25-11, and 25-23. Having played Regent earlier this season, Carolina utilized their knowledge to pinpoint weaknesses in their opponent's defense. SarahElizabeth Samuels led offensively with 11 kills, followed by Sion Murrain with 10. Kamra King contributed significantly to defense with 29 digs, which was crucial for securing their win and advancing to face Clinton College.
The championship match saw the Bruins decisively defeat Clinton College in three sets: 25-23, 25-18, and 25-17. The team's strategy focused on exploiting Clinton's serve receive issues. Syvannah Poore delivered three service aces while teammates Suarez and Walker added two each.
With this triumph, Carolina University's Women's Volleyball team will participate in the NCCAA National Tournament starting December 4th in Point Lookout, MO as the eighth seed.
