The United States Marine Corps (USMC) and the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) have announced the recipients of their annual Team Academic Award. Among those honored is Carolina University, one of only three NCCAA volleyball programs to receive this recognition.

Carolina University's Lady Bruins have previously been acknowledged for their academic achievements. Five student-athletes from the team—Kaylee Barriage, Kamra King, Chiara Mottola, Sarah Pickett, and Ariane Ramalho—were named to the NCCAA Academic All-American team. Additionally, the Bruins earned the distinction of being an NCCAA Scholar Team for the first time in school history.

Head Coach Chelsea Jones expressed pride in her team's accomplishments: "I am so proud of this team for setting records not only on the court, but especially in the classroom. We strive to push our student-athletes to their full potential on the court, in the classroom, and in the community. I am glad to see their hard work has paid off."

As they prepare for a new season, Carolina University's Women's Volleyball program looks forward to welcoming both new and returning players when they arrive on campus during the first week of August. The team aims to continue building on its positive momentum both academically and athletically.
