Carolina University volleyball splits tri-match; prepares to face Guilford College

The Carolina University Women's Volleyball team participated in a tri-match this weekend, facing William Peace University and Salem College. The team returned with a 1-1 record for the day.

In their first match against William Peace, the Bruins executed a reverse sweep, winning in five sets with scores of 20-25, 18-25, 25-17, 25-22, and 15-12. Kamra King led the team with 16 kills and a hitting percentage of .346%, also contributing 21 assists. Sion Murrian followed closely with 15 kills and a hitting percentage of .423%. Rebecca Walker was pivotal on defense with 17 digs.

The second match against Salem College resulted in a loss for the Bruins, ending in three sets with scores of 24-26, 19-25, and 17-25. The Bruins finished with a hitting percentage of .131. Despite the loss, King again led her team with eight kills while Syvannah Poore contributed five aces.

The Women's Volleyball team will next play against Guilford College on October 8th at an away game scheduled for 6:00 PM.
