Carolina University Softball faced Columbia College in a doubleheader on Monday, resulting in one win and one loss. The Lady Bruins secured a victory in the first game with an 11-6 score, hitting two home runs. However, they were defeated by the Koalas in the second game, which ended 3-6.
In Game 1, the Bruins established an early lead with six runs in the first inning. Danielle Brooks contributed with a single to right field, earning two RBIs. Grace Andrews doubled to center field, bringing Lexi Hall home and ending the inning at 3-0. In the seventh inning, Grace Johnson hit her second home run of the game with bases loaded, adding four RBIs to her tally.
The second game saw the Bruins initially leading 1-0 in the first inning. Despite their efforts to regain control by scoring two runs in the seventh inning, they could not surpass Columbia College's lead.
Grace Andrews recorded five putouts (POs), while Danielle Brooks added two RBIs for Carolina University.
