Carolina University concludes softball season at NCCAA South Region tournament

Carolina University Softball concluded its 2024 season with a notable performance in the NCCAA South Region tournament. The team faced Trinity Baptist University and emerged victorious with a 9-0 win. The Bruins capitalized on errors by the Eagles, with key plays including a double from Grace Johnson and a single from Grace Andrews. Johnson's walk-off home run was pivotal in securing the victory, advancing the Bruins to the Regional Championship.

Pitcher Danielle Brooks contributed significantly to this win, achieving four strikeouts without any errors.

In their next match, Carolina University competed against the University of Fort Lauderdale Eagles but suffered a 0-5 defeat. Kourtney Cox and Grace Johnson managed hits for the Bruins, yet no runs were scored. Brooks pitched for two innings, followed by Madison Hamilton for seven innings.

The season ended with Carolina University's record standing at 24 wins and 20 losses overall, with a 2-2 performance at Regionals.
