Carolina University Softball team achieved a doubleheader sweep against Paine College's Lions in Augusta, Georgia. The Bruins will continue their away games with another match scheduled for the following Monday.
In the first game, the Lady Bruins secured a narrow 6-5 victory. Kalea Bolch contributed significantly with an early home run, while Grace Johnson and Grace Andrews each recorded doubles. Danielle Brooks pitched all seven innings for the Bruins, achieving three strikeouts.
The second game saw the Bruins clinch an 11-10 win. They began strongly, scoring four runs in the first inning. Home runs were hit by Grace Johnson and Kourtney Cox, with three players from the team recording doubles.
Looking ahead, the Lady Bruins are set to face UVA Wise's Cavaliers on Wednesday.
