Carolina University's esports teams reach divisional championships

Carolina University's Rocket League and Valorant teams have reached the Divisional Championships, marking a first-time achievement for the Rocket League team and a second appearance for the Valorant team.

The Valorant team entered the playoffs as the 42nd seed and secured a victory against DePaul University, ranked 55th, in the first round. They then achieved an upset against the 7th-seeded Drury Panthers with a narrow 2-1 win. The team proceeded to face Cleary University, seeded 18th, in the championship match and claimed victory with a decisive 2-0 result.

In contrast, the Rocket League team was ranked 9th out of 96 in playoff seeding. After receiving a bye in the first round, they defeated DePaul University with a sweeping score of 4-0. In their championship match against Buena Vista University, seeded 41st, they finished as divisional runners-up.

Throughout their regular season, Esports Valorant concluded with a record of three wins and three losses while maintaining an undefeated post-season record of three wins. Meanwhile, Esports Rocket League ended their regular season undefeated at seven wins but recorded two wins and one loss during post-season play.
