Carolina University's men's soccer team secured a victory in the NCCAA South Regional Championship against Columbia International University. The game, held at Truist Sports Park in Bermuda Run, North Carolina, ended with a 1-0 scoreline. This win marks the Bruins' fifth consecutive appearance in the NCCAA National Championship and their third consecutive South Region title.
Luke Spillane-Davis scored the only goal of the match, assisted by Alexander Tweddle. The Bruins demonstrated strong endurance with nine players completing the full ninety minutes on the field. Goalkeeper William Cothill contributed significantly to the team's success with ten saves, marking his seventh clean sheet this season.
Coach Golding commented on the challenge of facing Columbia International University, stating, "CIU has a very good soccer program and are the defending NCCAA DI National Champions so we knew going into the game that we were going to have to be at our best." He praised his team for their performance both in possession and defense during the match.
