Carolina University Baseball secured a series sweep against Toccoa Falls College over the weekend. The Bruins won all three games, setting a positive tone for their remaining five regular-season games.
In the first game on Friday afternoon, Carolina took an early lead with four runs in the first inning. William Darder and Jase Brooks contributed to this lead with significant hits. The Bruins capitalized on fielding and pitching errors by Toccoa Falls, adding another run in the second inning. Bryan Deegan closed out the game with a home run in the ninth inning, securing a 6-3 victory for Carolina. Kaleb Whitaker, Chase Locklar, and Andrew LaPrade shared pitching duties for the Bruins.
Saturday's second game saw a competitive back-and-forth between both teams. The Bruins initially led 3-0 before Toccoa Falls took over with five runs in the third inning. However, Carolina managed to regain control by scoring five runs in the seventh inning and held onto their lead to win 12-10. Bryan Deegan continued his impressive performance with another home run while Alexiel Delgado and Alejandro Rodriguez each contributed three RBIs.
The final game of the series ended after eight innings with Carolina winning 5-2. Tanner Bray hit a home run for Carolina, while Paxton Tucker and Avery Adams added two RBIs each. Alex Prevost pitched effectively for Carolina, recording five strikeouts.
Looking ahead, Carolina will face Georgia Gwinnett College at home on Tuesday.
