Carolina University's women's volleyball team earns AVCA academic honors

Carolina University's Women's Volleyball team has been recognized for their academic achievements for the second consecutive year. The team received the 2024 AVCA Team Academic Award for their performance during the 2023-2024 academic year, maintaining a commendable 3.45 GPA.

"Elly and I are so proud of the work the girls have done to achieve this award for the second year in a row," stated Head Coach Chelsea Jones. "We are constantly instilling the student-first mentality within our program, and we are definitely seeing the success that has been created."

AVCA CEO Jamie Gordon remarked, "We are delighted that the remarkable success of the 2023-2024 season has extended beyond the court, with more programs than ever earning the Team Academic Award. This achievement underscores the dedication of our coaches in nurturing their players to excel both as athletes and scholars."
